History

In 1907, when it was founded in Paris, the Aviation Club de France was a private and very confidential venue, dedicated to aviators. The club began to welcome more and more new members, and has been one of the hypest place since the 1960s. The ACF, as members name it, is located on the Champs Elysées, next to the Arc de Triomphe. Nowadays, hundreds of members come everyday, 24/7 to enjoy its gambling tables : Poker 21 (Black Jack Parisian Style), Punto Banco, Baccarat, Three Card Poker, Caribbean Stud Poker, or in the poker room : a large variety of cash game (from low to high limits) and daily tournaments.

Chronology :

1907 : A group of aviators create a private club, located on the Champs Elysées, inspired by English member’s clubs. Since that day, its name remains “Aviation club de France”.

1925 : The ACF becomes a gaming club, and non-aviators can have their membership. The only one condition is to be elegant and well-educated to be able to sit down at the bridge or bacarrat tables.

1975 : The Aviation Club de France opens its brand new gastronomic restaurant, with five Chefs dedicated to its members.

1995 : The ACF is the first gaming club to welcome a poker-room in France. Its increasing popularity reaches Rummy or Backgammon players who discover this yet unknown card game.

1998 : The Grand Prix de Paris poker tournament is a total success with the world best players. And in 2003, the Aviation Club de France welcomes the World Poker Tour cameras, to give a worldwide televised coverage to this prestigious international poker tournament.

2007 : For the 100th birthday of the club, the ACF is completely re-designed, giving a very contemporary touch to its luxuous venue. Players and members are thrilled to get even more comfort and services.
